Sinfonietta Magyar

Belgian composer Johan Nijs wrote an original composition in the typical Hungarian style with the work Sinfonietta Magyar. The majestic introduction brings us directly into the atmosphere that is so characteristic of Hungarian music. The composer allows the orchestra to play exciting and smooth rhythms, alternating with a few changes of measure, and continues with a few extremely lyrical and very subdued passages, all of which clearly refer to Hungarian dances. Sinfonietta Magyar is a very dynamic work for concert bands who are prepared to take on a real challenge.
